Specialist Training

We specialise in delivering training which enables professionals to more effectively support children and young people with a range of special education needs and disabilities including language and communication needs, sensory processing and complex learning needs.

We offer the following:

• Disability awareness training for staff teams working in non-educational settings e.g. retail and leisure.  Our key areas of expertise are sensory impairment and autism.
• MSI Intervenor course and OCN Level 3 Autism course. Both courses are accredited.
• The full range of Makaton and Elklan courses.

With experience delivering in-house training across the UK, Seashell is also able to work with you to design and deliver in-house training to meet specific needs or issues, whether as part of organisational programmes or as stand-alone events.  Seashell can tailor an existing training programme to fit your needs, or work with you to create something more specialised.

Clinical Supervision and mentoring

Our therapy team are experts in the field of SEND. We deliver clinical supervisions ‘face to face’ or remotely to Occupational Therapists and Speech and Language Therapists working in a range of settings at competitive rates. Our autism team offer mentoring to employees on the Autism Spectrum in the workplace.

Consultancy

Our support has been commissioned to allow specialist education providers and their executive teams to increase the effectiveness and impact of the therapists and clinical teams in their settings. We are able to provide a quote on request for therapy service reviews within specialist educational or learning disability/ASC settings.
