Come on a CADS adventure this summer

Seashell Trust is looking forward to the eleventh year of its groundbreaking CADS summer holiday clubs supported by the Peter Harrison Foundation.

It is going to be adventure all the way for 5-16-year-olds, whether disabled or able-bodied.

We are once again hosting activities over the summer break and it is never too early to book.

Adventure Day on Thursday, August 14, from 10am-3pm, will include orienteering, climbing, archery and team building activities. Cost £20

Cyclists battle hail and gales to raise £5,000

Over 60 riders braved freezing conditions to take part in the first Seashell Trust cycle challenge.

With a choice of three routes ranging from 15 to 60 miles, cyclists hit the roads to raise £5,000 for our students.

The full-length course took in the beautiful countryside of three counties - Cheshire, Derbyshire and Staffordshire before returning the Seashell Trust campus.

Wendy Bray, Seashell Trust fundraiser, said: “Despite the weather, it was still stunning and a real challenge even for good riders. Lots of people say they would love to do it again next year.”

King's School raises £2,500 with the help of Harry

A 12-year-old brother of two Royal School Manchester students inspired a school to raise £2,500 for Seashell Trust.

When Harry Norton started at the King's School Macclesfield last September, he spoke to the whole school in an assembly to explain how the charity cares for not only his brothers but supports his whole family too through difficult times.

His brothers Caymen, six, and Reims, 13, both have a very rare form of drug-resistant epilepsy that has affected their development, leaving them with autism, physical and learning disabilities. They need round-the-clock care.
