Introduction to Signing (12 weeks)
Gain a basic understanding of signs to meet people, use numbers and talk about the weather, direction or transport

Signalong Course

Our 12 week Signalong course begins in September
Fridays from 10 - 11.30am

If you’re supporting a person with communication difficulties as a result learning disabilities, attending our Signalong course could have a big impact.  Signalong uses signs and symbols to help people communicate. It’s designed to support spoken language and the signs and symbols are used with speech in spoken word order.

Five Day Course for Intervenors

16th October 2017

This is the original Intervenor Course developed and delivered by Jenny Fletcher and colleagues from Sense. The 5-day course is specifically designed for Teaching Assistants, Health Care Workers, Learning Support Workers, Social Care Workers and those employed to work on a 1:1 basis with a child or young person who is congenitally multi-sensory impaired / deafblind or has a single sensory impairment with additional complex needs.

This course meets the requirements of the Intervenor Standards issued by NatSIP.
