Understanding the Impact of the Environment for Children with Autism

Date: Wednesday 4th March

Time: 5-6.30pm

Price: £45

Children with autism may experience difficulties in managing their responses to sensory information from their environment. This can result in struggling to focus and attend as well as behave appropriately in classroom situations.

This training session will explore these sensory processing challenges and provide a practical and hands on approach to understanding and supporting them. It will be particularly useful for teachers and teaching assistants, as well as healthcare professionals working within educational settings. The course will support participants to optimise children’s learning in the classroom and promote a greater understanding of sensory processing difficulties.

The course will be led by a qualified occupational therapist with a specialism in sensory processing difficulties.
