Sally joined the College Governing body in November 2019, having previously worked for Seashell Trust as a Job Coach to develop opportunities for pupils to work in local industries. She therefore has a good understanding of the Trust and brings her industry experience to the role to continue to support pupils.

A passionate individual bringing a varied professional background providing governance, safeguarding and legislative surety across a variety of sectors including construction, manufacturing and highly regulated pharmaceutical environments for both Private and Public sector funding bodies. Responsible for the Corporate Governance and Risk functions for a £240m revenue property company, it is Sally’s team’s responsibility to ensure that they comply with our legislative requirements, particularly for operations within sensitive / critical environments, through a transparent and auditable process.  Recent successes include the implementation of a Group policy to cover GDPR and Anti-Bribery & Corruption including on-line learning to ensure compliance across all locations.

Sally also manages the Group Responsible Business plan that blends alignment to UN sustainability goals with local measures including access to work for hard to reach groups including NEETS, ex-offenders and those with complex disabilities, ensuring safeguarding measures are in place with structured training and communications plans embedded in the business.

Outside of work she enjoys family time, travel, running and walking, and recently completed the national 3 peaks raising over £1,000 for charity.

Sally recently volunteered for the Safeguarding role at the rugby club that her son plays for.
